prosource.it is a global IT Managed Service provider working with Medium to Enterprise level, global clients and looking for an IT Desktop Support Technician who are interested in joining a global, enterprise level team who are delivering technical solutions to our internal business partners to drive processes and meet business requirements.

We are looking for a skilled IT Desktop Support Engineer to join an established team, that supports one of our major oil and gas customers. The team provides L1 and L2 IT support for a large number of users local and remote to Rock Springs, WY.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Diagnose and resolve IT incidents. Some examples include:
- Printer related issues
- Connectivity
- Software related issues
- Operating system
- Screen / monitor configuration
· Installation of peripheral components
· AV/VC configuration and problem resolution
· Installation of software packages and minor remediation
· Escalation to appropriate party where appropriate
· Maintains employee confidence and protects corporate assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential
· Creates and maintains a clear and thorough documentation
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
· Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
· Supports company vision and mission
· Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
An effective Desktop Support Specialist must be great at communicating with customers in person and over the phone. They should also have empathy, patience, and the skill to understand and resolve the customer’s problem.
Customer service is a key component of success. As is critical thinking, and strong problem-solving abilities.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
· 1-5+ years of IT Desktop Support experience
· BSc in Computer Science or relevant field
· Exceptional ability in diagnosing and solving computer related problems while maintaining patience, professionalism, and courtesy
· In depth understanding of Windows desktop operating systems and utilities.
· Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
· Required: Microsoft Office & O365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook with emphasis on Excel). High degree of competency in troubleshooting Smartphones/Mobile devices, tablet devices, as well as various smartphone devices.
