Texas Health Action (THA) invites qualified applicants to apply to Waterloo’s Temporary Medical Records Data Contractor. This temporary position will support a data migration project by downloading patient charts from various electronic health record (EHR) systems and uploading them into another. This can be a remote/work-from-home, in-office in Austin, TX or hybrid role with an expected project duration of approximately four months.

- Download patient records from the existing EHR system.
- Upload patient charts into the designated new EHR system with accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and organizational data security protocols.
- Track daily progress and report completion status to project supervisor.
- Identify and escalate discrepancies or issues encountered in the transfer process.
Key Performance Indicators
List two to five measurable tasks that are key to indicating satisfactory performance in this role:
Consistent completion of specific per day goals, as tracked through project records. Few to no errors in uploaded patient charts; errors identified and corrected independently when possible. Adherence to HIPAA and organizational data security standards at all times. Accurate and on-time reporting of daily progress to supervisor. Completion of assigned workload within the expected four-month timeframe.
Compensation:
Based on job duties and requirements, this temporary position is placed in pay grade 40 with a hourly rate of $23.00.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Must have basic PC skills that include proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality; able to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA standards.
- High attention to detail with ability to accurately transfer large volumes of data.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language abilities desirable.
- Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Ability to apply time management practices to prioritize and complete work effectively to comply with project timelines.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks or parts of tasks simultaneously to ensure timely completion.
- Ability to work productively with project supervisors and other staff.

- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize with strong time management skills, and demonstrate exceptional follow-through on assignments.
