In Massachusetts, over 98% of people have access to broadband, ranking 5th in the U.S. However, there is still mission-critical work to be done to close remaining gaps, address affordability, and expand access to internet-connected devices and digital literacy training. MBI is leading the state’s strategy to achieve 100% universal service and meaningful adoption of the internet to operate in our ever-growing digital world.
THE ROLE:
MBI is seeking a highly organized, mission-oriented Project Coordinator of Reporting and Operations to join our team! This role will have the opportunity to support innovative broadband infrastructure programs that make a difference in people's lives. This position will play a key role in providing operational support to Program Managers leading federally funded capital investment programs, in particular, the Residential Retrofit, RANGE, and Gap Networks Programs. These programs are funded by the U.S. Treasury’s Capital Projects Fund (CPF), a program launched as part of the national American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support MBI Program Managers with management of data systems, tools, and processes involving information management, grantee communication, and financial tracking.
- Manage MBI’s inputs to federal reporting requirements, ensuring approvals from Program Managers and MBI Leadership and interfacing with grantees and the Executive Office of Economic Development, as appropriate. This will involve coordinating directly with grantees to retrieve project specific information.
- Support MBI Program Managers with entering, updating, and tracking financial contract information, such as invoices and amendments, in MassTech’s financial management software.
- Support MBI Program Managers with risk and issue management documentation.
- Drive operational improvements across the CPF portfolio to ensure harmony across programs and adoption of best practice and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in the planning and execution of special projects and events for the CPF portfolio. This may include a combination of virtual and in-person events.
- Ensure project deliverables, reporting, and invoicing are received on-time, of high quality, and in compliance with contract requirements.
- Attend offsite meetings as required; often not accessible by public transit.
Experience
- Experience in project management or related fields is a plus.
- Experience with federal or state reporting is a plus.
- Industry certification(s); subject matter expertise with telecom, broadband or public administration; or experience with grant administration and management are a plus.

The salary range for this position is $55,000 – $60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s background, skills, and internal equity. In addition, MassTech provides a competitive and comprehensive benefits package, including:
