What You’ll Do
- Own PO creation and inbound logistics — from issuing purchase orders to coordinating with overseas vendors and logistics partners.
- Manage inventory and reporting through Cin7, ensuring accurate, real-time visibility across SKUs. Monitor retail scorecards, OTIF performance, and proactively resolve chargebacks or logistics errors.
- Coordinate with 3PLs and retail partners to ensure smooth, on-time deliveries with minimal chargebacks or errors.
- Provide sales admin support, including item setup, ASIN submissions, packaging specs, and EDI onboarding.
- Negotiate with international vendors and suppliers, balancing cost, timing, and quality — and pushing back when needed to protect our margins and timelines.
- Identify and test ways to integrate AI and automation into purchasing, inventory, and reporting workflows.
- Pitch in across teams when needed — whether supporting product launches, marketing initiatives, troubleshooting operational bottlenecks or aligning on demand forecasts.
- Manage a small operations team of remote employees.
What You Bring
- Cin7 expertise — at least 2–3 years managing POs, inventory, and reporting.
- Proven chops as a fearless negotiator, especially with overseas vendors and container deals.
- Experience managing retail logistics (Amazon, Target, or other major accounts).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational rigor — no PO or SKU slips past you.
- A knack for process and system improvement — refining SOPs, tracking key metrics (lead times, stock levels, cost per unit), and troubleshooting bottlenecks before they become problems.
- International sourcing experience a plus.
- Startup energy — comfortable wearing multiple hats, flexing into other teams, and moving quickly.
- Preferably based in or willing to regularly commute to NYC for in-office collaboration (with hybrid flexibility).
