About the role
As a Mortgage Loan Closer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers’ home-buying process is smooth and compliant. Your attention to detail and expertise will help us deliver accurate, timely closings that meet all regulatory standards, directly impacting customer satisfaction and Zillow’s reputation for excellence.
You Will Get To
- Prepare and review closing documents using our Loan Origination System (LOS), ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of final Closing Disclosures and related loan documentation.
- Collaborate with loan originators, underwriters, and title companies to coordinate successful closings.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in Encompass and other compliance systems.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or compliance issues prior to closing.
- Support cross-functional teams and contribute to process improvements.
- Handle confidential customer and employee information with discretion.
- Take on additional projects and tasks as assigned to support team goals.
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $22.20 - $33.40 Hourly. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
Who you are
- 1–3 years of experience in mortgage loan closing, with exposure to Conventional, FHA, USDA, and VA loans.
- Proficient with paperless mortgage file systems; experience with Encompass LOS is strongly preferred.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities.
- Committed to maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information.
- Willing to work overtime as needed.
