At Central Moloney, we don’t just manufacture transformers—we power the grid that keeps homes, hospitals, and cities running. As an Assembly Technician, you'll be hands-on, building real products with a team that takes pride in every unit that leaves our floor.
💪 What You’ll Do:
- Build electrical transformers and components on an assembly line
- Use basic hand tools and perform detailed, repetitive hand and finger work (we’ll train you!)
- Follow safety and quality procedures
- Communicate with your team and leads to keep things running smoothly
- Expect a fast-paced, hands-on environment where you’ll be standing, moving, and working with your hands throughout your shift
Please Note: This role requires the ability to work at elevated workstations and tables, reach across machinery, and perform tasks at varying heights. Candidates must be able to safely and consistently reach, lift, and operate within these work areas as part of regular job duties.

Key Responsibilities:Â
- Follow instructions to assemble core steel based on customer needs and company guidelines.
- Install various parts onto coils, including steel pieces, padding, clips, and frames.
- Ensure core and coil units are assembled accurately according to set standards and customer preferences.
- Keep tools organized for smooth workflow.
- Inspect transformer cores carefully to ensure they meet quality standards and size requirements.
- Work well with team members and follow supervisor directions to meet production targets.
- Always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Additional Skills & Requirements:Â
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read and understand job-related materials and perform basic math.
- Previous manufacturing and assembly experience preferred, not required.
- Proficient with manual and powered hand tools.
- Experience with hoist/crane operation is a plus.
- Comfortable with physically demanding tasks and working conditions.
- Background check, Drug & Physical Screening required.
Physical and Environmental RequirementsÂ
- Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
- Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
- PPE: Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.
- Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
- Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
- Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
