Role Overview
We are seeking a People Manager to lead Marchay’s HR and organizational processes. The majority of this role (~75%) focuses on all things people, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, employee support, and more. The remaining responsibilities (~25%) supports operations such-as companywide scheduling, internal systems upkeep, and relevant project management. The ideal candidate is people-focused, detail-oriented, ready to wear many hats, and eager to help scale a growing organization. As Marchay’s sole people leader, this role is key to our company’s daily operations as well as ensuring employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
People Management
- Act as a trusted point of contact for employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns.
- Manage performance review processes and support employee retention initiatives.
Recruitment & Development
- Lead and facilitate end-to-end recruitment processes, employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Oversee employee development and training programs.
- Maintain candidate pipelines and weekly recruiting reports.
- Lead employee training, development, and organizational redundancy planning.
HR Processes & Compliance
- Create and maintain key company documents, including pillars, best practices, SLAs, employee handbooks, employee ownership, organizational charts, and organizational policies.
- Maintain and update job descriptions for all roles.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and maintain accurate HR records.
- Manage compensation policies, salary ranges, and ensure market competitiveness.
Administration & Operations
- Coordinate company-wide processes including goal setting, KPI tracking, and organizational meeting cadences.
- Support leadership in creating presentations for company meetings and retreats.
- Assist in select project management and operational items.
- Ensure internal information systems are up to date.
- Location: This role is fully remote. Candidates must be based in North America and willing to work Eastern Time Zone hours.
- Education: A bachelor's degree is required for this role.
- Experience: 2-5+ years in HR and people operations with experience in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, administrative support, and process coordination.
- Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Strong communicator with proficiency in HR tools, office platforms, and project coordination systems.
