Job Summary
Morningstar is seeking a Full Stack Developer to work on a full-time, contract basis. This role is responsible for the following:
- Develop and maintain Morningstar's web applications and infrastructure that monitors and controls solar and solar hybrid energy systems
- Collaborate with the firmware and product development teams to ensure reliable and consistent device functionality integration and user interfaces
- Maintain and improve front-end performance, ensuring applications are reliable even in remote or low-bandwidth environments.
- Participate in designing and implementing user-centered features to support our IoT-enabled products, enhancing their value and ease of use.
Compensation and Terms
- 1-year, full-time contract
- Hourly rate range: $50 - $75/hr, commensurate with experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Web Development, or appropriate combination of equivalent education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience with the following AWS services:
- Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, API Gateway, VPC, IAM, Cognito
- 5+ years of experience writing and debugging vanilla Javascript
- 3+ years of experience with React JS.
- Familiarity with CloudFormation and AWS SAM
- Experience with production systems, change management
- Knowledge of GDPR and CCPA best practices
- HTML, CSS, accessibility like ARIA guidelines
