Specialist, Provider Enrollment

How you'll contribute
The Provider Enrollment Specialist is responsible for requesting participation for providers in and with health plans to minimize the possibility of delay or non-payment of claims for services rendered by practitioners.
A Provider Enrollment Specialist who excels in this role:
- Performs job functions satisfactorily with or without accommodations
- Completes CAQH credentialing for new providers
- Follows up with payers on effective dates, status updates, and identification numbers
- Completes applications, re-credentialing, and demographic updates for payers
- Researches payer processes and provider enrollment status
- Updates and maintains CAQH database with provider information from Market Director
- Inputs and maintains provider data, including demographics, medical documentation, and comments
- Maintains updated licenses and adds provider locations and groups
- Monitors provider files for pending enrollments and requests missing documents
- Performs administrative tasks: processes applications, uploads documents, enrolls providers, and researches payer processes
- Communicates updates to market contacts and resolves payer enrollment issues

What we're looking for
Applicants should meet the following qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalency
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an Insurance Payer Background and/or Provider Enrollment role required.
