Position Summary
This position offers an exciting opportunity to assist patients with questions on their account, provide education related to their insurance coverage, coordinate, and manage self pay accounts, and act as a team member for the Central Billing Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answers the phones, greets visitors, types and files. Contacts patients/clients and agencies in order to collect on delinquent account.
- Monitors incoming payments and prepares weekly reports. Correct billing and account errors.
- Process incoming mail and locates accounts returned for correct addresses.
- Prepares itemized statements for patients/client’s physicians, attorneys and insurance carriers for payments of delinquent bills.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in book-keeping and knowledge of insurance policies; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills
- 1-2 years of experience in medical billing and or experience in medical account resolution preferred

Work Hours
Work hours are typically 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. but may vary as necessary to accommodate CBO operations.
