Description
The Loan Closer is responsible for preparing and verifying closing documents, producing closing instructions, and funding loan transactions that meet all terms of the sale and have received final approval.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Thoroughly reviews loan files to confirm all conditions are cleared and file is ready to close
- Prepare closing documents ensuring quality, correct closing fees, and proper closing conditions
- Verify information for accuracy, such as legal names, legal address, terms, price, rate, title work, and hazard
- Review and deliver the Closing Disclosure, ensuring that the loan meets program guidelines, compliance, and company policies
- Set up funding to send wire to title company for disbursement of funds
- Maintain a closing pipeline, adhering warehouse wire time limitations, contract closing dates, and delivering complete closed loan files in a timely manner
Qualifications
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven computer skills on Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and LOS systems preferred
- Proficient math skills
- Knowledge of FHA/VA/Agency products
- Detail-oriented and skilled at multi-tasking
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Can work with a sense of urgency when time constraints are involved
- Knowledge of Closing Disclosures
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of recent residential closing experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the mortgage industry
- Encompass LOS experience strongly preferred
