Job Summary:
Medata, a leader in Medical Bill Cost Containment, is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated State Reporting Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for processing and reporting medical bills, troubleshooting rejections, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. The ideal candidate is a team player who can also work independently, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately report medical bills to the appropriate state agencies.
- Investigate and resolve bills returned from the state due to errors or rejections.
- Research the root cause of unaccepted bills and implement solutions.
- Handle special projects as assigned by the manager.
- Respond to and research client inquiries related to state reporting.
Qualifications:
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
- Creative thinker with problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in medical bill coding is a plus.
