Job Summary:
UKG is currently seeking a customer focused and experienced individual to join our Tax Registrations Customer Solutions Team. The potential candidate will be primarily responsible for working with UKG Pro Payment Services Customers to apply for and obtain State/Local Tax Identification #’s on the customers behalf while working collaboratively with cross functional work groups to have configured in the UKG Tax Software System. Focus will be to work effectively and prioritize to deliver timely results while keeping a customer first mentality knowing the impact and sensitivity a tax code setup can have. The position will require regular communication with UKG team members, the customer, and applicable tax agencies. A qualified candidate will have strong customer service skills accompanied with payroll tax knowledge and/or payroll tax registration experience. The position will demand strong organizational skills accompanied with attention to detail and persistent follow up.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work directly with UKG Pro Payment Services customers and State/Local tax agencies
• Registers/applies for State/Local payroll tax identification numbers on behalf the client
• Works collaboratively with cross functional work groups
• Coordinates and/or facilitates Tax ID’s to be configured in the UKG Tax Software System.
• Prioritize, organize, and execute project work to meet customer deliverables
• Participate and/or facilitate customer conference calls to provide status updates
• Provide project status updates frequently to customer
• Sets clear expectations w/customer including any changes to original project timeline
• Provide outstanding customer service via written and verbal communication
• Meets & respond timely to project SLA’s & inquiries
• Generate tax agency follow up & correspondence
Required Qualifications:
• Experience working independently in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment, as well as collaborating and coordinating with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external
• Intermediate Excel
• Smartsheet knowledge is a plus
• Basic knowledge of payroll fundamentals
• General knowledge of payroll employer taxes
• Exceptional written & verbal communication skills:
• Ability to exercise a high degree of collaboration and problem solving
• A proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Acute attention to detail
• Excellent organization skills while managing to critical deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of experience in payroll and/or tax background
• Experience registering and obtaining State/Local Payroll Tax ID#’s
• Experience working with State/Local Tax Agencies

The pay range for this position is $21.97 per hour to $31.61 per hour, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
