WHEN & WHERE YOU'LL WORK:
Remote: This position is fully remote and open to candidates in the United States. Candidates must live within the Southeast Territory (AL, DC, FL, GA, KY, LA, MD, MS, NC, SC, TN, and VA) or be open to relocating without assistance. Equipment for the role will be provided and training will occur virtually.
Travel: This role will require car and air travel up to 60% of time.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
The Regional Account Manager (RAM), Market Access, is responsible for securing, increasing and maintaining coverage, access, and reimbursement for medical device products within a specific region. Key duties include developing market access strategies, negotiating DME contracts with managed care organizations, third-party payors, and provider networks, and managing relationships with regional payers. The RAM serves as the main contact for payer-related account management and identified opportunities to influence payer medical policies, reduce burdens, and expand patient access to the company's medical devices.
Designs and implements regional market access strategies to secure access, reimbursement and coverage for Tandems medical devices and supplies with key payors.
Analyzes regional healthcare systems, reimbursement policies, and payer Medical Policy requirements to identify opportunities, risks, and impact to reduction of burden.
Builds and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including payers, government agencies, and clinical decision-makers.
Conducts meetings and presentations to articulate the clinical and economic value of the company's Device within assigned regions.
Provides support and impact to coding, coverage, and payment pathways to facilitate product reimbursement.
Work closely with internal teams to support reimbursement, coding alignment, understanding of processing pathway and provide support with payer challenges.
Serves as the internal expert and primary point of contact on all payer related issues within the assigned region(s); ensures relevant and timely payer coverage information is communicated to appropriate internal and external stakeholders; provides input and feedback regarding contracting strategies and ensures that all contracting governance requirements are met.
Utilizes market insights to adapt strategies and ensure alignment with regional needs.
Develops and maintains understanding of Tandem product, disease state, clinical data, commercialization strategy and further customer engagement by providing deep insights/expertise around the disease continuum and customer insight on trends, market conditions and changes in formulary/medical policies.
Analyze, develop and execute on payer strategy and initiatives removing medical policy barriers to access, and add new/expanded coverage for product portfolio
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Ability to anticipate challenges quickly, managed multiple projects and develop proactive strategies to impact.
Skilled at fostering trust, conveying in-depth knowledge and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Understanding of regional healthcare systems, medical policy process, reimbursement processes, and payer decision-making.
Familiarity with coding (e.g., CPT) and reimbursement mechanisms (i.e. fee schedules and DMEPOS).
Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways, exercising judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Ability to influence without direct authority and anticipate issues and respond quickly, professionally, flexibly and creatively to solve problems and address commercial market challenges.
Minimum certifications/educational level:
Bachelor degree in a life science, business or marketing or combination of equivalent education and applicable job experience.
Minimum experience:
5 years successful Medical Device or Pharma related industry experience.
Experience within Healthcare Market Access and diabetes industry preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting base pay range for this position is $156,000 - $175,000 annually plus incentive compensation (commission-based compensation is based on the achievement of goals). Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate's location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes equity and a robust benefits package.

You'll also receive 11 paid holidays per year, a minimum of 20 days of paid time off (with accrual starting on day 1) and you will have access to a 401k plan with company match as well as an Employee Stock Purchase plan.
