About the Role
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to create and maintain high-quality documentation that empowers our users to effectively navigate and utilize our SaaS platform. In this role, you will be responsible for writing and managing help center documentation and user guides. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and customer-facing teams to ensure our documentation is accurate, clear, and user-friendly. Additionally, you will contribute to in-app copy and support video content creation to enhance the overall user experience.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Create, update, and maintain help center documentation and user guides, API documentation, and release notes.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure technical accuracy and address user needs in documentation.
Assist in maintaining and improving the documentation structure and content for ease of use, ensuring consistent tone, style, and branding across all documents.
Edit and revise existing documentation based on product updates and customer feedback.
Participate in documentation reviews with peers and senior writers to ensure consistency and quality.
Support the creation of UX copy to ensure user-facing content is clear, concise, and aligned with product goals.
Incorporate feedback from Customer Success and Support teams to address user knowledge gaps and areas of confusion.
Assist in video content creation by supporting the Senior Technical Writer in scripting, gathering visuals, or reviewing content for technical accuracy.
Qualifications
1-3+ years of experience in technical writing or a related field, preferably in the software or technology industry.
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to understand and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences in clear, concise language.
Self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience creating and adapting content for different audiences or user personas
Eye for detail; dedication to identifying and rectifying copy inconsistencies
Passion for learning: you’ll need to know our product in and out!
Nice to Haves
Experience as a technical writer in a SaaS or software development environment
Proficiency with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence
Proficiency with Intercom or similar help center platforms
Willingness to record video demos and be on camera when needed
Basic video editing skills and familiarity with editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred)
Benefits
$75,000 - $90,000 New hires are typically hired at a salary between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range, depending on experience and internal equity.
