Registered Nurse (RN) - Ortho - Short Term Agreement - $50 - Nights at Norman Regional Health System summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in orthopedic and spine patients, offering comprehensive nursing care in a certified 32-bed unit. Responsibilities include collaboration with health professionals, assessment, and implementation of care strategies for orthopedic, cardiac, and med-surg patients. The position requires an active Oklahoma RN license and prefers candidates with at least a diploma in nursing, with advanced degrees being advantageous.

Ortho/Spine is a 32 bed unit specializing in orthopedic patients. We have disease specific certification from the Joint Commission in Hip Replacement, Knee Replacement and Hip Fx patients which deems us a center of excellence. We also care for Total Shoulder and Ankle patients as well as other fractures. We also care for low level cardiac patients and some med-surg patients.
Responsibilities:
RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data.
- Establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care.
- Delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions.
- Performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
Qualifications:
Education
- Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.
Licensure/Certification
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
