Registered Nurse (RN) - Ortho - Short Term Agreement - $50 - Nights at Norman Regional Health System summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Orthopedic unit provides specialized nursing care to orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries like hip and knee replacements. Responsibilities include collaboration with healthcare professionals, patient assessment, care planning, and implementing nursing interventions. Qualifications include an ADN, BSN or MSN, along with current RN licensure and BLS certification.

- $50 flat rate
- 13 week assignment
- 3 12hr shift/week
- Hours not guaranteed

Ortho/Spine is a 32 bed unit specializing in orthopedic patients. We have disease specific certification from the Joint Commission in Hip Replacement, Knee Replacement and Hip Fx patients which deems us a center of excellence. We also care for Total Shoulder and Ankle patients as well as other fractures. We also care for low level cardiac patients and some med-surg patients.
Responsibilities:
RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data.
- Establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care.
- Delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions.
- Performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
Qualifications:
Education
- Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.
Licensure/Certification
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
