As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Charge Nurse position for the Ortho Spine unit, you are responsible for overseeing a specialized 32-bed unit that provides care primarily for orthopedic and some cardiac patients. You collaborate with healthcare professionals, assess data, plan and implement care strategies, and ensure high-quality nursing services. This role requires previous nursing experience, a current RN license, and strong leadership skills.

Compensation/Benefits
- $30.11-$49.17/hr depending on previous work experience.
- Evening differential $2.50/hr
- Night differential $3.00/hr
- Weekend differential $3.00/hr

Ortho/Spine is a 32 bed unit specializing in orthopedic patients. We have disease specific certification from the Joint Commission in Hip Replacement, Knee Replacement and Hip Fx patients which deems us a center of excellence. We also care for Total Shoulder and Ankle patients as well as other fractures. We also care for low level cardiac patients and some med-surg patients.
Responsibilities:
RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data
- establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care
- delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions
- performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.

Qualifications:
Education
- Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience as a nurse required.
- Charge Nurse experience preferred.
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure/Certification
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or active Multistate RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) required within 6 months of hire.
