The Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Transport Team provides comprehensive nursing care for critically ill children during ground and air transports. This role involves effective communication and coordination with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe patient transfer between facilities. Candidates must possess a BSN, relevant certifications, and have a minimum of three years of ICU or ED experience.
This Critical Care Transport Nurse will be responsible for:- Total clinical nursing care of stable and unstable critically ill children during transportation – both ground and air transports.
- Communicating coordinating care with multidisciplinary team members from sending and receiving facilities.
To qualify, you must have:- A minimum 3 years ICU or ED experience is required; EMT experience preferred.
- PALS/NRP/ACLS/EMT certification required within first year of employment and CCRN certification required within 2 years of employment.
- BSN required.
- Includes day/night rotating 12 hour shifts, every third weekend.
