This work is hybrid with 3 days in office, and 2 days work from home. Regular work hours are between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Due to the regional nature of this opportunity, travel up to 10% will be expected.

Mission:
The Benefits Manager designs, implements, and oversees comprehensive benefits programs that boost employee satisfaction and support the organization's talent retention and attraction strategies. This role manages the administration of health and financial benefits in the USA and Canada, ensures legal compliance, and cultivates vendor relationships to enhance benefits delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution
Develop and implement health and financial benefits plans aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices, including medical, dental, vision, and leave programs.
Perform regular market analysis to maintain competitiveness and industry alignment.
Chair the 401k Committee, driving strategy and administration of the Company's retirement and deferred compensation schemes.
Support global initiatives and contribute to mergers and acquisitions with a focus on due diligence and integration of benefits.
Benefits Administration
Manage the Company Medical/Dental/Vision/Leave Programs with self-funded procedures, ensuring financial accuracy in budgeting and reconciliation.
Ensure adherence to local, state, federal, and international laws such as ERISA, IRS, HIPAA, DOL.
Collaborate with vendors and brokers to optimize benefits programs.
Manage the Medical Stop Loss Program to effectively balance claim costs and insurance premiums.
Vendor and Systems Management
Function as the primary contact for benefits-related vendors, manage vendor performance, and ensure service quality. Maintain benefits systems to support operational efficiency.
Compliance and Governance
Develop and maintain policies and procedures for benefits. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and to identify improvement areas.
Employee Communication and Training
Develop communication strategies to enhance employee understanding and appreciation of their benefits.
Train HR teams in benefits administration.
Data Analysis and Reporting
Analyze benefits data to guide decision-making.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership to assess the effectiveness of benefits programs.
Conduct benchmark studies and recommend enhancements.
Global Mobility
Manage the global mobility program for the USA and Canada in collaboration with the International Compensation & Benefits team and the regional compensation manager.
Ensure compliance with relevant international regulations and company policies.
Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and maintain relationships with HR representatives and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Team Leadership
Lead a team of benefits professionals, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Deep understanding of ERISA, IRS, and other relevant benefits regulations.
Experienced with both self-insured and fully insured benefit programs.
Knowledge of the benefits marketplace, including trends, providers, and products.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRMS systems.
Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years in benefits administration, with at least 4 years managing benefits in the USA and Canada.
Background in a global organization and global mobility.
Previous experience in a service center or center of excellence.
Previous experience in a broker environment is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability in process improvement and project management.
Proven ability to analyze issues/problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
Experience successfully managing projects, including meeting project milestones and cost.
