Who We Need:
The Loan Originator is responsible for educating customers on Company values, process, and operations. Obtains information to submit loan applications for customers. Educates customers on available loan options and answers follow up questions. Provide outstanding customer service throughout the loan process while adhering to all federal, local, and internal guidelines.
What You Will Do:
- Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
- Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants' credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information.
- Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services.
- Review loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to company policy, guidelines, compliance, and lending regulations.
- Maintain customer confidence by keeping all loan information confidential.
- Maintain licenses and compliance by participating in required continuing education courses.
- Work as a team with sales, processing, underwriting, closing, post-closing and management to ensure the customer receives excellent service.
What You Need:
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) years of experience working as a Loan Originator is required.
- Possess, or have the ability to possess upon hire, a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license per the SAFE Act; may be asked to become licensed in multiple states is required.
- Solid foundation of mortgage experience is required.
- Demonstrated responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning; must be a fast-paced individual who can effectively manage multiple demands and competing priorities.
- Highly developed computer/technology skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt well to change.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Extremely detail oriented.
- Ability to take direction and comprehend training.
- Ability to work closely within a team structure.
