A Family Practice - Geriatrics Physician is needed for a locum tenens position in Vermont starting January 2025. The role involves providing care for patients in a nursing home setting with a typical load of 8-12 patients per day, along with performing necessary evaluations and procedures. The physician must be board-certified in Family Medicine, General Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics, with a preference for geriatric experience, and will work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
Family/Internal Medicine Physician Locums Job in Vermont January 2025 and Ongoing Assignment
Coverage Needed:
- Looking for 1 MD with Family Medicine or General Internal Medicine with preference of Geriatric experience, however not required.
- Starting late January/early February for 3-6 months.
- Hours are 8A-5P, Monday-Friday
Assignment Details:
- Provide quality care to patients in a nursing home setting
- Shifts: Monday-Friday 8A-5P preferred or could consider M-TH 8A-5P
- On call: Physician yes however negotiable
- Procedures: Admissions, discharges, acute evaluations, 30 days evaluations
- Patient load: 8-12 patients per day
- Fellowship: Geriatrics
- Accept Experience Over Fellowship: Yes
- Board Status requirement (BC/BE): Family Medicine or General Internal Medicine or Geriatrics
- Certifications required BLS
- Additional support staff: Yes
- Provider is working with APP s and MDs
- Mid levels: Yes, no the locums would not be responsible however and APP may need to consult with them
