The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is responsible for administering anesthesia to patients in various age groups, primarily over the age of 12, during trauma cases in a busy healthcare environment. This role requires on-call duties, including weekend and weeknight calls, and necessitates specialized certifications including a DEA and CSR. The CRNA works with a large medical team across multiple operating rooms, utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems like EPIC.
- Schedule: 5 8 hour days, 4 10s, and 12 hour shifts are also available.
- All CRNAs submitted at this time must be willing to do weekend call work (pager, not in-house). Call details below:
- WEEKEND CALL: 0700 - 0700 Saturday or Sunday. Call 1 on Sunday is off Post Call on Monday, Call 2 is not off Post Call.
- Weeknight call at least once per week.
- Trauma cases - MOSTLY. CRNAs only perform SPINAL Blocks, NO regional anesthesia.
- # of operating rooms: 17 MOR, 7 DSC, plus specials, cath labs, endo, radiology
- EMR: EPIC
- Patient Age Demographic: Adolescent, Child, Adult, Geriatric. 90%+ of the patients are over the age of 12.
- Option to work 4 10 hour days or 5 8 hour days, also can offer 12 hour shifts
- Will need a DEA and CSR
- Credentialing timeframe is roughly 90 days.
