Position Overview: We are actively seeking a board-certified Neurosurgeon to provide locum tenens call coverage. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled neurosurgeon to support a busy trauma center while providing critical care to patients.
Assignment Details:
- Coverage Needed: January 2025 through March 2025, with potential extension
- Schedule: Call coverage from Thursday 5 PM to Monday 8 AM
- Scope: Provide comprehensive neurosurgical care, managing both spinal and cranial procedures. The physician will consult, take calls, and manage emergencies as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct consultations and emergency responses based on trauma cases.
- Perform equal parts spinal and cranial procedures.
- Ensure continuity of care through detailed patient follow-ups and precise documentation in our EMR system, EPIC.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Must be Board Certified in Neurosurgery.
- Licenses: Must hold an active SC Medical License, SC Controlled Substance, and DEA.
- Experience: Must be comfortable working in a busy trauma environment.
