Shift Type: Days
Est. Shifts: 5 shifts (8 hours per shift) preferred, or 4 shifts at 10 hours
Shift Hours:
- 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Weekend Requirements: None
On-Call Requirements: No call required, but optional if desired
Credentialing Timeframe: 6 weeks (could be faster for MA-licensed providers)
Emergency/Temp Privileges: Temporary privileges available
Facility Overview:
- Setting: Level III Trauma Center
- Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Support Staff: CRNAs, anesthesia techs, scrub techs, first assists, POAs
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia services for a wide range of cases, including:
- General: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy
- Robotic: Gastric bypass, prostate surgeries
- Vascular: Endovascular AAA repair, A-V fistulas, CAEs
- Orthopedic: Various surgeries
- Oncology: Mastectomies, cystoscopies
- Collaborative relationship with MDs and CRNAs
- Charting: Currently paper charting (transitioning to EMR on January 20, 2025)
Scheduling and Coverage:
- Shift Options:
- 5 shifts of 8 hours preferred
- Alternatively, 4 shifts of 10 hours
- No weekend work required
- No on-call required, but on-call available if desired
Requirements:
- Board Certification: Required
- Massachusetts State License: Highly preferred (temporary privileges available for out-of-state providers)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of CRNA experience
- Background: Clean malpractice and background record
