The Pathology Physician role involves providing coverage for Anatomic Pathologists in Arizona from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with no on-call requirements. The ideal candidate should have experience in Surgical Pathology, preferably with a subspecialty in GI Pathology, or a General Pathologist with relevant experience. The position will assist an eight-physician group in managing pathology workloads, in a full-service, multi-specialty 550+ bed facility.
Pathologist Locums Job in Arizona ASAP Start and Ongoing Assignment
Coverage Needed:
- Looking for two Anatomic Pathologists, to provide coverage ASAP through December 31, 2025.
- 8am - 5pm, Monday-Friday
Assignment Details/Requirements:
-No call
-Pathologists with experience in Surgical Pathology and a PREFERRED subspecialty in GI Pathology.
-If not available, then a Surgical Pathologist with either General Pathology, Dermatopathology, or Breast Pathology experience. It is preferred that the Pathologist has one of the above subspecialties; however, the group would take a General Pathologist.
-Pathologist will not be required to perform Autopsy services.
-Will work alongside of an eight physician group of Anatomic Pathologists and will primarily assist with taking some of the excess workload off of the current physicians
-Pathology volume varies depending on the day, complexity of cases, and organ system assigned to that day
-One grossing tech, 1 full-time PA, 2 per diem PA's, plus 2 residents that assist with the grossing of their specimens at the facility
-Full service, multi-specialty 550+ bed facility, Cerner EMR
