A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Specialist who is organized and has medical billing experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Completes accurate and timely insurance verification and data entry in EMR software
- Ensures services have approved authorization prior to service and completes authorization requests
- Communicates with front office staff to maintain a clean billing process and escalates financial clearance risks as needed
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of patient account management experience in a hospital or physician practice setting is preferred
- Basic accounting skills are required
