Compensation
- 13 week short term agreement.
- $65.00 an hour flat rate.

We have 7 operating rooms for orthopedic, sports medicine, endocrinology, and ENT cases located in the HealthPlex tower at Norman Regional Hospital. Our nurses demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, and critical thinking skills while caring for a wide range of patient types. We orient new nurses to each of our surgical areas, spending time with dedicated preceptors in each area. Upon completion of orientation, nurses will be able to circulate orthopedic, sports medicine, endocrinology, and ENT cases as well as a wide variety of other service lines. Responsibilities:
RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:
Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data,
Establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care,
Delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions, and
Performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
Qualifications:
Education
- Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.
Licensure/Certification
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
