Who You Are:
We are seeking an innovative IT leader with a proven track record of owning technology solutions at a scaling organization. You thrive on balancing day-to-day IT operations with strategic, big-picture planning. Negotiating deals with vendors, provisioning the right tools for the team, and ensuring robust data security come naturally to you. You’re also excited to explore how AI can supercharge internal processes—whether that’s automating repetitive tasks or extracting insights from company data. At your core, you’re a collaborator and problem-solver that seeks to help the organization run smarter, safer, and more efficiently.
Your Day-to-Day: IT Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions that enhance productivity, security, and scalability.
- Maintain visibility on emerging tech trends and identify opportunities for integration.
- Build and maintain a multi-year IT roadmap that outlines priorities, milestones, and resource allocation.
IT Operations & Support
- Oversee all aspects of on-boarding and off-boarding employees, including system access and credential management.
- Provision laptops and manage equipment lifecycle, ensuring inventory accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain and optimize the remote support structure for our growing support team as well as our on-site management teams and building technologies.
Data Security & Compliance
- Own the organization’s data security strategy, including proactive risk assessments, policy development, and ongoing compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all systems and processes meet relevant regulations and industry best practices.
Vendor & License Management
- Negotiate with software and hardware vendors to secure favorable pricing and service terms.
- Administer SaaS applications and licenses, ensuring proper access control, usage, and cost management.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local on-site vendors to address hardware/network issues at retail locations.
AI & Innovation Enablement
- Lead initiatives to harness AI for our internal documents and knowledge management processes.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify use cases, select tools, and roll out AI-driven solutions.
- Provide ongoing training and best practices to maximize AI adoption and impact.
The Necessities and Nice-to-Haves:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred but not required).
- Experience: 7+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a director-level or equivalent role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proven track record overseeing IT infrastructure in a remote-friendly environment.
- Strong knowledge of SaaS platforms, software license administration, and endpoint management.
- Experience with network security, data protection, and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with AI tools and frameworks, and/or successful track record implementing AI-driven solutions.
- Ability to directly manage and support day-to-day IT-related needs across the organization, including hands-on problem-solving.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong vendor negotiation and stakeholder management.
- Strategic thinker with an analytical & proactive mindset and problem-solving approach.
The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000 USD depending on location and experience.
