JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Service Manager. This individual works closely with Customer Service to ensure instruments returning from customers are inspected and booked in, and also returned to dispatch after service work is completed. The Administrator handles all instruments returned for inspection calibration and repair, and will work with internal service technicians and other departments. The role is approximately 60% desk based, 40% other locations around the facility.
This position is responsible for the physical relocating, unpacking and booking in of returned goods. Also service administration within SAP and physical return of customer goods to the shipping department.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interface other members of the service department.
- Relocation, unpacking and inspection of incoming returned goods.
- Entering into SAP of all service equipment.
- Dispatching goods to other service centers if required.
- Prepare for dispatch service items prior to shipment to customers.
- Determine the accuracy of service orders and provide order clean up prior to data entry.
- Interface with customers to ensure that all information is available and accurate, prior to entry.
- Provide customers with service status and interface with service team to expedite item.

- Preferably 1 – 2 years’ experience in the service sector, but not essential.
- Core Competencies:
- Good computer literacy
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- A good aptitude for simple mechanical processes and problem solving
