Essential Responsibilities:
Administer employee leave of absence from start to finish, including FMLA, company leaves, disability, and other leave types. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with legal requirements.
Administer company-provided benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits by acting as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefit inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information about plan details, coverage, and eligibility. Educate employees on available benefits and enrollment processes.
Support the development and administration of employee benefits and wellness programs by coordinating employee communication and education (onboarding, monthly education, company intranets, benefit guides and materials, ongoing communication and notices)
Conduct periodic reporting and audits of benefit plans to ensure data accuracy and compliance
Participate in the annual renewal cycle and help lead the annual Open Enrollment cycle in collaboration with management, stakeholders, and vendors
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws related to employee benefits, including the Affordable Care Act, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and HIPAA. Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee benefits, enrollments, and related documentation
Serve as the liaison between the company, benefit/leave providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and resolution of any issues
Ensure processes are documented and up to date
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
At least three (3) years of experience in benefits and leave of absence administration.
Experience with Microsoft Excel and reporting.
Strong knowledge of benefit and leave of absence federal and state regulations.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Self-directed, proactive, and innovative.

Required Education & Certifications:
B.A./B.S. in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Compensation:
Qualified candidates can expect a compensation range of $65,000 to $75,000, or more depending on experience.
