Description
The Human Resources Generalist / Onboarding Specialist will work remotely conducting a variety of Human Resources tasks. This individual will be responsible for repetitive HR reports and functions in addition to one-off audits, assignments, and projects.
Job Summary
- Auditing multiple email inboxes for incoming correspondence and assigning, completing, or following up on requests
- Reviewing, filing, and auditing DMV pulls
- Reviewing, documenting, filing, and following up on new hire and current employee certifications
- Updating, organizing, and maintaining electronic files for two companies and 1,200+ employees
- Routine file audits to ensure correct location of documents, saving documents from one location to another, and correcting naming conventions to a standardized format
- Assisting the Onboarding Specialist with onboarding follow up calls, texts, and emails
- Processing benefits checks
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Pay Rate
This is an hourly position with a pay rate between $24.00/hr and $30.00/hr, depending on experience. This position is not benefit eligible as it is a temporary position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Reviewing multiple email accounts on a daily, ongoing basis and providing timely (<24-hour) responses to current employees and new hires
- Data entry and data correction into multiple online software systems and accurately documenting entries
- Providing feedback to employees and new hires regarding multiple certifications
- Managing and auditing electronic files on an ongoing basis for completeness and accuracy
- Overseeing several daily, weekly, and monthly processes to ensure they are completed timely
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Two (2) or more years in a Human Resources role are required
- Understanding of how to maintain a reliable account of information to successfully support business needs; accurate data entry skills
- Ability to learn and navigate multiple cloud-based systems on an ongoing basis, often navigating between multiple screens to obtain information
- Ability to track the progress of multiple hires and provide real-time, on-demand information as to where hires are in the process
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written
- Must be able to work core business hours in Pacific Standard Time (PST)
Preferred Qualifications
- True HR Generalist experience to include handling basic employee relations issues, onboarding, benefits, and other HR Generalist work
Physical Demands
- Must be able to sit for an extended period of time.
- Requires frequent repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, reaching and grasping.
- Must be able to hear and communicate clearly to perform job duties in person and over the telephone
- Adequate vision required to be able to read information from printed sources and computer screens.
Work Environment
- Works in an office environment where temperatures are comfortable and noise level is low to moderate.
