Title: Molecular Sales Specialist
The BD Medication Management Solutions (MMS) business combines proven technology with actionable intelligence to prevent medication errors, improve clinician productivity, increase predictability of medication availability, and improve organizational financial performance. At almost every point in the acute or non-acute medication use or management process, safety, efficiency, and costs can be favorably impacted with BD Pyxis™, BD Alaris™, BD Parata™, and BD HealthSight™ solutions.
The BD Solution Deployment team manages, plans, and coordinates the implementation of BD Medication Management Solutions. Cross functional teams are assigned to customer projects and accounts based on project scope. The BD project team partners with the customer project team to deliver the goal of an on-time successful system implementation that achieves customer’s medication management goals. Activities include pre-sales project scope planning, implementation project management, hardware and software installation, workflow, system design and configuration tasks, integration engineering functions, clinical training and detailed customer relationship and account management activities. In addition to customer‐ facing responsibilities, the Solution Deployment team is also responsible for many backend business functions including revenue forecasting and recognition, supply chain forecasting, equipment logistics (including ordering, customer confirmation and return authorizations), implementation and governance methodologies, continuous improvement, solution design best practices and quality system requirements.
The Implementation Consultant, Solution Deployment MMS is responsible for guiding customer stakeholders through the implementation process and possesses a demonstrated expertise of clinical and technical processes related to both pharmacy workflows and BD Medication Management Solutions technologies. Projects range in scope from small hospital or pharmacies to large health system level implementations requiring standardization across provinces or regions. This Implementation Consultant will work with the customer to gather customer requirements, define best practices, design decisions and consult in the development of policies and procedures. The Implementation Consultant performs the required tasks in alignment with the toll gate implementation process to ensure timely Go-Lives and customer satisfaction. The Implementation Consultant must have the ability to establish collaborative working relationships with cross-functional and interdisciplinary project teams.
Role responsibilities:
Demonstrates problem solving, troubleshooting and system consultation as it relates to pharmacy best practices in Medication Management workflows
Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacy/clinical workflow processes, pharmacy formulary builds, hospital, retail and long-term care & pharmacy system integration, clinical device settings, interface validation (ADT, billing, patient profile), user account role design, active directory.
Leads customer site and workflow assessments and facilitates the project design and implementation phases for BD Medication Management Solutions.
Provides team support and product, clinical and technical information related to BD Medication Management Solutions.
Manages customer stakeholder teams, gain consensus within teams and delivers concise and consistent communication.
Facilitates conference calls and customer meetings to progress the design and implementation goals in collaboration with the BD and Customer project managers and teams.
Establishes rapport with customers that is conducive to long-term business relationships.
Detail oriented, able to multi-task and implement complex projects consistent with established BD and customer objectives.
Demonstrates critical thinking and ability to aid customers in improving current business and clinical practice and operations.
Install, validate and train end users on the use of BD Medication Management Solutions technologies (software & hardware)
Maintains documentation related to customer projects, expenses, compliance documentation and reports
Possess excellent organizational skills with the flexibility to readily adapt to change.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or College diploma (Business, Science, Health Sciences or similar field) or 5 years of related work experience in a medical device or healthcare environment with clinical and technical involvement
Knowledge of Infusion, Dispensing and Pharmacy Automation technologies an asset
Experience working with clients in hospital, retail and long-term care pharmacies an asset
Fluency in both English and French (read, speak, write) required to communicate with colleagues and customers across Canada
Located in Canada in close proximity to an international airport to facilitate travel
RPh, RPhT, strongly preferred
RN or IT professional certification will be considered with relevant experience in pharmacy workflows
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a past clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years; as well as meet BD's auto safety standards.
Work Environment:
Field based, home office position
Overnight travel of up to 80% but may fluctuate based on project and team needs. AlthoughtherolerequirestravelacrossCanada,agoodportionofthetravelwillbewithintheprovinceofQuebec.
