Overview
FedWriters is building a team to operate OJP's Response Center and Library Services, providing high-quality information assistance through a customer service center, virtual library database, and research services to support justice system professionals and the public. As an ORIC Lead Reference Librarian, you will oversee the OJP Research and Information Center's operations while providing complex research assistance to OJP staff and grantees using specialized databases and digital resources.

This full-time remote position will work Monday through Friday, 10am to 6pm Eastern Time and may occasionally need to attend in-person meetings, briefings, or coordination sessions at OJP headquarters in Washington, DC.
This position is contingent upon contract award
Responsibilities
Supervise daily ORIC operations and coordinate research services delivery
Maintain and organize comprehensive reference materials collection
Evaluate, recommend and acquire new reference materials with COR approval
Provide expert research assistance using specialized databases and resources
Qualifications
Master's in Library/Information Science and 5 years of research and reference experience.
Seven years of experience and a bachelor's degree in a field commensurate with library science, i.e., education, English literature, or related field, may be substituted for the master's degree.
Ability to supervise complex time-critical activities
Experience with research tools (Web of Science, Sage Journals, LexisNexis, OCLC WorldShare, DIALOG, EBSCO, ProQuest, IACP Net)
