Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes by accurately and efficiently managing the company's accounts payable function. You will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and communicating with vendors to resolve any discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for maintaining financial accuracy.
What You’ll Do:
- Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Communicate with vendors to address payment inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments via check or ACH.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and provide support for audits as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Manage the Accounts Payable inbox and ensure timely responses.
Who You Are:
- 3+ years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist.
- Must have previous experience with NetSuite
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Details:
- This is a full-time non-exempt position open to either remote or HQ local candidates (Denver, Dallas, or NYC) that would have a hybrid work schedule
- Targeted compensation range for this role: $27-$30/hour, dependent upon experience.
