You’ll tackle everything from submitting claims to resolving denials, ensuring that every step of the billing process is handled with care and precision. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Review charges to ensure they meet payer requirements.
- Submit claims and resolve any exclusions or unbilled claims that come back.
- Handle corrected claims and or missed visits.
- Review authorizations for accuracy and submit to payers.
- Manage medical record requests and submit documents.
- Perform verification of benefits and discuss them with clients.
- Manage Patient Accounts Receivable (AR) and resolve provider inquiries.
- Oversee fax communications and manage the shared inbox.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Cross-train and provide coverage for:
- Posting and balancing payments.
- Researching and managing refund requests.
- Resolving insurance AR balances and denials.
- Sending out patient statements.
- Answering phone calls and providing support.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work through detailed processes, like claim submissions and invoicing, with accuracy.
- A knack for recognizing patterns and identifying potential issues early.
- Tech-savviness and familiarity with billing systems and tools.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of one year in medical billing or a related role.
- Experience with submitting claims and working through AR processes is preferred.
- Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new systems quickly.
