Medicare Billing Specialist

Location: Remote/Work From Home (Campus is located in Dayton, Washington)

Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours per week

Compensation: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Flexible Schedule | Monday - Friday| Operating Hours 8:00am – 5:00pm PST

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Revenue Cycle Specialist with strong Medicare billing knowledge to support accurate account reconciliation, resolve billing issues, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. A positive attitude, clear communication, and commitment to excellent service are essential.

Operating Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time
Float to the Acute Care Unit, as needed

Qualifications

Medicare Billing experience is required
Any accredited national certification through Healthcare Information Management, Revenue Cycle, or Medical Coding is preferred
An understanding of ICD-10 and CPT codes preferred

Responsibilities

Identify trends within the revenue cycle and recommend process improvements.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Apply industry standards, regulations, and laws to daily billing and reimbursement tasks.
Reconcile all patient account balances accurately and in a timely manner.
Follow established weekly and monthly task lists to maintain workflow efficiency.
Proactively review reports to identify potential billing or reimbursement issues.
Assist patients in resolving billing questions and account concerns.
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing education opportunities.
