Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Director, Legal Support Services to join our in-house North America legal team. This position reports to our North America General Counsel. This position can be based out of any of our North America offices with an option to work remotely from home.

Our legal operations team supports our four Global Business Areas: Mobility, Places, Resilience, and Intelligence. In this leadership role, you will manager a team of four or more professionals who specialize in insurance, licensing (architectural, engineering and construction), proposal disclosures, subpoena responses, legal holds, and other corporate legal support functions. This position is also responsible for understanding the various software systems used across the global legal functions and looking at opportunities to manage and rationalize global systems for efficiency. This is an ideal position for someone with a paralegal background who has grown into a manager/leader and is looking to continue their career as a manager.

Role accountabilities:

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for:

Managing a highly functional and motivated legal operations team
Being available to the team for backup/supplementation, answering questions, and providing mentorship and development
Supporting our North America businesses to meet project and proposal requirements
Understanding the various legal management systems and tools in place globally and make suggestions for efficiencies and maximizing use on an ongoing basis
Interfacing with Arcadis&#39; Global Legal Team in the effort to obtain standardization and efficiency across the global business

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor&#39;s degree
8 years of experience in legal operations support including licensing, insurance, corporate maintenance, service of process, and proposal disclosures
2 years of supervisory experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
The ability to understand complex issues and explain them clearly
Willingness to learn and explore new global systems and ways of working

Preferred Qualifications:

10 - 12 years of experience
Expertise in areas specific to the architecture, engineering, and construction industry including professional licensing and insurance
Experience with claims reporting and management

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $170,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
