Churchland Animal Clinic is seeking a dedicated Associate DVM to join their compassionate team in Portsmouth, Virginia. This role offers flexible scheduling without on-call services and allows for collaboration and mentoring opportunities. Churchland Animal Clinic is looking to welcome the newest Associate DVM to our growing Portsmouth, Virginia, practice!

This is a full-time or part-time, Monday-Saturday role with extremely flexible scheduling. There are no on-call services or emergency hours required for this role. Any special interests and experience levels are welcome-including recent graduates! Our DVM team enjoys teaching and have previously mentored doctors early in their careers. Must be licensed (or able to become licensed) in the state of Virginia for consideration.

We're open weekdays from 8am-6pm and the 1st and 3rd Saturdays each month (half-day). Currently we have surgeries all day on Wednesdays and see appointments the remainder of the week. We run 30-minute appointments and will take work-ins, as needed. We have a phenomenal, experienced LVT to assist in surgery, who is cool, calm, and collected. She's an excellent representation of an LVT (especially for new graduates who want to see exactly what is expected of an LVT during surgery).

Build and uphold existing relationships with the local community
Provide loving care to small animals and a peace of mind to their humans
Have a positive attitude, outgoing personality, and commitment to the veterinary field
Have medical freedom to practice skills you're proficient in or explore areas you'd like to learn
Partner with our sister clinic (for collaboration and quarterly team meetings)
