Essential Functions of State Tested Nursing Assistants:

Maintain a positive and professional demeanor towards residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
Assist in daily care of residents such as bathing, grooming, dressing, transferring, repositioning, and other activities of daily living.
Assists in feeding residents.
Ensure that all resident care is provided in a dignified and respectful manner.
Promote and protect resident rights, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect resident’s personal belongings.
Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment.
Answers call lights promptly.
Follows work assignments and/or work schedules.
Completes electronic charting by shift-end.
Attend and participate in scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs to maintain certification and enhance quality of care.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Certification: State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification required.
Experience: Good documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills; must be able to use proper lift technique and lift equipment to move, lift and transfer residents.
