The Buddy Program by The Educational Equality Institute (TEEI) connects volunteers with Ukrainian newcomers to foster meaningful friendships and provide a welcoming environment as they adapt to life in North America. Whether you’re in a bustling city or connecting remotely, your role as a buddy can create lasting bonds and make a difference.

What You’ll Do as a Buddy

Be a Friend: Forge a connection with a Ukrainian participant, sharing stories, interests, and experiences.
Offer Guidance: Provide practical tips about local resources, services, and day-to-day life in your city.
Explore Together or Virtually: Join your buddy in discovering the city, practicing conversational skills, or simply enjoying a chat over coffee (in-person or online).
Create a Welcoming Space: Share your culture and learn about theirs while offering emotional support.
