The Event Manager reports directly to the COO and is responsible for all events under the umbrella of the Aubrey Marcus Collective.

We are looking for an individual who is self aware, motivated, and thrives off challenge. This position is responsible for all event planning and production, event day operations, and staff management during events, while also providing financial reporting before, during, and after events. Often there are simultaneous projects and deadlines across multiple companies so the ability to organize and prioritize in a dynamic work environment is key.

The candidate must live in the Austin area; the position will be a mix of remote and in-person work. This role is not a traditional 9-5 job as the hours fluctuate with individual event and project deadlines. This role requires someone who is available and able to commit to flowing within a cyclical work environment.

The ideal candidate should possess:

At least 2 years of prior event management experience.

Ability to project manage all aspects of the event from planning to execution, through demonstrating knowledge in operational procedures, facility and technical requirements, in addition to managing all production needs and staff throughout the event.

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with various clients and team members, and communicate effectively with all necessary parties.

Ability to provide plans, budgets, and reporting for all event operations before, during, and after events.

Proficiency in using Google Suite, with experience in Expensify, Asana, and Slack a plus.

High emotional intelligence with a positive attitude and work ethic.

Capability of understanding challenges from a company wide lens and finding solutions that benefit the company and team as a whole.

Ability to quickly shift priorities as projects change and think on your feet while handling problems that arise in a calm and timely manner.

Confidence in handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Ability to work extended and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Travel is required.

Ability to meet the physical demands of this role, which includes personal mobility, lifting, carrying, moving, climbing, working from various heights, and moderate to loud noises.
