Responsibilities

The Medicare Advantage Eligibility Coordinator I is responsible for ensuring the proper verification of eligibility for Medicare Advantage beneficiaries, for providing accurate and complete data input and for assessment of benefits to ensure reimbursement for services provided. This position is also responsible for,

Contacting patients for updated insurance information when applicable
Acts as a resource for referral sources and works closely with branch staff to ensure that the admission and recertification process is efficient
Facilitating timely initiation and overall provision of care.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
One year of third party eligibility verification or Insurance authorizations experience is preferred.
Must be competent with computers, ability to communicate effectively, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Must possess a valid state driver license
Must maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law.
