The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus G110 nursing unit is part of Cleveland Clinic’s renowned Taussig Cancer Institute. The institute provides world-class care to patients with an oncologic/immunologic disorder and is at the forefront of new and emerging clinical, translational and basic cancer research.
At Cleveland Clinic, the Cancer Center’s team of specialists explores all options and tailors the most appropriate plan for each patient. We have an opening for PRN (As Needed) Registered Nurse in our G110 Bone Marrow Transplant Department. Our nursing unit cares for patients receiving chemotherapy, targeted cancer therapies, radioactive iodine, and other types of radiation therapies.

• Providing direct nursing care.
• Monitoring, recording, and communicating patients’ conditions as appropriate.
• Preparing patient care plans.
• Administering prescribed medications.
• Performing bedside hand-off reports and thorough bedside daily rounds.
• Focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of many varied malignancies and hematologic diseases.

Responsibilities:
- Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Maintains professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- BSN preferred.

- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
