Job Summary
- The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or RRT trained in Sleep is responsible for providing professional care to patients in the sleep lab for Diagnostic Polysomnography and CPAP trials, as directed by the attending physician and in accordance with the established hospital objectives, policies, and procedures.
- The Technologist is directly accountable to the Director of Outpatient Services for providing an optimal level of patient care.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate from an approved, accredited school of Respiratory Care.
- On-the-job training for ECG, EEG, Stress Tests and PFT.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist, preferably with training and work experience in a Sleep Lab.
License/Certification/Registration
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of SD
- Current basic CPR, PALS, NRP and ACLS Certifications
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks
- Night Shift: 8:00 pm – 6:00 am
- No weekends or holidays
