What You Will Do:
Industrial Refrigeration North America is seeking a qualified Industrial Refrigeration Training Specialist with industry experience on refrigeration equipment and operation. In this role, you will build on your current industrial refrigeration experience to effectively develop training material and deliver to customers through presentations and training curriculums. This remote position requires travel across North America to collaborate with internal teams and deliver training courses to customers. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
Provide technical training to Johnson Controls’ Industrial refrigeration customer base on proper utilization of products and industry best practices.
Partner with Stakeholders to develop and maintain technical training curriculum and presentation materials.
Immerse yourself in the end-to-end process of identifying a business need, partnering with sponsors to design training and ensuring effective learning gets delivered to audiences, small and large.
Update and manage training materials on the company learning management system.
Build on current industrial refrigeration and knowledge and serve as the subject matter expert for equipment, controls, and operations.
Investigate new opportunities and develop effective training that is impactful and inventive.
Learn on a day-to-day basis about how Johnson Controls products and technology support our customers’ business objectives and are propelling the industry forward.
How You Will Do It:
Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to design intuitive and creative learning material.
Align training materials with product launches and business strategies.
Utilize online resources to gain knowledge of how to teach adult learners.
Partner with leaders in the industrial refrigeration business to identify and respond to their biggest challenges and goals with innovative learning solutions.
Act as an internal consultant to combine multiple perspectives into holistic solutions that maximize the impact to the business.
Maintain current knowledge of trends and issues in learning design, training, and sales enablement.
Understand technology to effectively design your learning support tools.
What We Look For:
Required
Minimum 5+ years of technical experience in Industrial Refrigeration Controls, Equipment, and/or system operation.
Very strong aptitude for computer skills.
Ability to develop effective presentations.
Proficiency in explaining things to technical and non technical audiences.
Ability to travel 25% for customer training and industry trade shows.
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
Has personal ethics, does quality work and has a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong connections with industrial refrigeration contractors in the US
Positive, proactive attitude
Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and e-learning tools
Experience in operating a refrigeration system within a Cold Storage or Processing plant
