Job Summary:We are an independent Owner-Operator seeking a reliable and professional Local Semi-Truck Driver to operate our equipment for local shipments. This role is ideal for an experienced driver who enjoys consistent routes, daily home time, and working in a smaller, driver-focused operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate a semi-truck to transport freight to local customers safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring freight is properly secured and handled with care.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, maintaining on-time deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle remains in excellent condition.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal transportation laws and regulations.
- Communicate regularly with the owner for load assignments and delivery updates.
- Maintain accurate records, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and mileage documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points, representing the owner-operator professionally.
Qualifications:- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- At least 3 years of experience driving a semi-truck, preferably with local delivery experience.
- Clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including loading and unloading freight.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining the equipment in good condition.
Work Schedule:- Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work based on customer demand.
- Morning or afternoon start times depending on route assignments.
- Home daily with predictable hours.
