Our client is searching for a dedicated professional to join our team as an Internal Controls Analyst focused on A-123 compliance. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the organization's adherence to internal controls in accordance with OMB Circular A-123, which is vital for effective financial management and accountability. You will collaborate with various departments to assess risks, evaluate current controls, and recommend improvements that enhance the integrity of our financial reporting processes. Your insights will play a crucial role in strengthening our compliance posture and achieving organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of existing internal controls and identify areas for improvement to comply with A-123 requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to internal control processes, including risk assessments and control activities.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on internal control policies and procedures.
- Assist in the implementation of effective controls and monitor compliance with established guidelines.
- Prepare detailed reports on internal control evaluation findings, presenting them to management for review.
- Collaborate with external auditors and advisory teams as needed to facilitate audits and reviews.
- Stay current with best practices, regulations, and standards related to internal controls and compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in internal controls, compliance, or auditing.
- Strong understanding of OMB Circular A-123 and related regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in risk assessment and internal control evaluation.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools.
- Certification such as CPA, CIA, or CISA is a plus.
- Current Public Trust or Public Trust eligible.
