The Role:
We're seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Chargeback & Collections Specialist to support our Risk and Payments teams. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in reconciling payment discrepancies with Small to Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs), including chargebacks, returns, and fees. Your expertise will help recover revenue, drive business growth, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
The Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies with SMBs via email, direct calls, and correspondence
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with merchants to ensure timely payment resolution
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Customer Success, and Risk) to resolve payment issues and improve processes
- Analyze payment data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
- Implement effective strategies to minimize payment disputes and maximize revenue recovery
- Meet or exceed monthly targets for payment recovery
The Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in fintech, payments, accounting, or a related field
- Proven track record of resolving payment disputes and recovering revenue
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong analytical and technical skills, with experience using payment processing systems
