As an Inside Sales Representative for Sunstate, you’re going to be one of the voices that our customers come to know and love. You’ll help increase revenues by opening new accounts, suggestive selling, building and maintaining professional relationships, and coordinating and providing services for your customers. You’ll be taking orders for deliveries and pick-ups, as well as handling some mechanical troubleshooting for equipment over the phone. You’re the acting liaison between customers, sales, dispatch, and management to ensure quality solutions are developed for the benefit of all parties.
Preferred Qualities/Experience:
- Be comfortable working with a team and independently, any task could go either way.
- Technologically capable: If you don’t know AS400 or CAD systems it’s okay but be willing to learn!
- You’re a top-notch communicator with an infectious personality; comfortable and charming.
- Have excellent customer service skills. You’ll be talking to a lot of people, keep up the positive attitude!
- Be capable of collaborating with other team members: You’ve got sales goals, and you can’t meet all of them alone.
About the Position
- Desk Work: Inside Sales professionals spend the majority of their workday at a desk, using a computer and phone to communicate with potential and existing customers.
- Phone Calls: They handle a high volume of phone calls, primarily inbound calls from customers interested in their company's products or services.
- Order Entry: Inside Sales representatives are responsible for entering customer orders into the AS400 system. This involves accurately recording customer information, product details, and quantities.
- Phone Skills: Excellent phone skills are essential for this role. Inside Sales professionals need to effectively communicate with customers, build rapport, answer questions, address concerns, and close sales over the phone.
- In-Office Work: This position typically requires employees to work exclusively from the office or on-site, meaning there are no opportunities for remote or hybrid work. This requirement ensures a consistent and controlled work environment for managing phone calls and sales activities.
- Product Knowledge: To effectively sell products or services, Inside Sales professionals must have a deep understanding of what they are selling. This includes knowledge of product features, benefits, pricing, and competitive advantages. We will train on product knowledge for the right attitude!
